Vacancy for Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

An exciting opportunity for a individual with a keen interest in the local area has arisen. Kniveton Parish Council are looking for a Clerk/RFO to help them support the village. 

 

The Clerk/RFO is the Proper Officer to the Parish Council and will have overall responsibility for all administrative and financial requirements in relation to Parish Council business. 

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual with a flexible and creative approach, who will promote the interests of the community by forging strong local partnerships. They will be an excellent communicator with a positive can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education and a high level of literacy and numeracy.

 

 This is a permanent position for 18 hours per month (4.5 per week) working from home. Attendance at Council Meetings which are usually held every two months on the second Tuesday evening is required. Salary is on Local Government LC2 (18-23) pay scale: Between £25,415 - £28, 226 per annum; (£13.21 - £14.67 per hour (pro rata). 25 days holiday per annum pro rata to hours worked plus bank holidays Local Government contributory pension scheme membership available.
